Much Overdue Update!

Wow, it's been a very long time since we have had much to share. Which isn't to say that we haven't been busy, quite the opposite actually! First Foods is kind of in limbo right now because access to a commercial kitchen has not been easy to find. Unfortunately the kind folks who were able to offer their space are now under new management and so I am in the process of finding a new space or getting my home kitchen certified. In the meantime, please feel free to inquire about any of our products and I will let you know as soon as I am able to fill orders...no matter how small! Keep buying local and organic, it's fun and it feels good!!

Taking a Break!

Just a quick note to let you know that we are not going to be at the market Saturday, August 22 and September 5. We are moving to a new house!! Unfortunately that means that our weekends are crazy for a little while. We do have jars in the freezer and would be more than happy to make a delivery or let you now where you can come pick some up! Enjoy the summery weather!

July 25 Market

For this Saturday's market we have a few great foods with local organic ingredients! The chard, beets, cherries, potatoes, zucchini and raspberries are all local and the fruit is spray-free while all of the other ingredients are certified organic. Lately we've found that our daughter is loving the sorbet, which is really just smooth food with only half the thaw time!
Here's the menu:
  • Raisin-Raspberry-Banana-Couscous
  • Carrot-Cherry-Banana Sorbet (with a bit of coconut milk)
  • Sweet Pea-Apple-Avocado
  • Golden Beet-Chard-Couscous (apple juice for sweetener)
  • Zucchini-Potato Gratin (sauce has whole wheat flour, soy milk, nutritional yeast and a dash of salt)
And as always, we have a few leftover from last weekend. Hope to see you at the market!

June 6 Market: New Flavors!

This Saturday, June 6, we will have a few of last week's selections available and the following new ones as well:
  • Banana-Apple-Raisin-Couscous
  • Yam-Pea-Carrot-Coconut Milk
  • Garbanzo-Veggie (Carrot, Spinach, Apple, Onion)
It's a first for the coconut milk and my daughter is loving it, nice and creamy but with the peas and carrots for a bit of texture! Everything but the coconut milk is organic and the couscous is whole wheat. Hope to see you at the market, or send an email if you have questions!
