June 6 Market: New Flavors!

This Saturday, June 6, we will have a few of last week's selections available and the following new ones as well:
  • Banana-Apple-Raisin-Couscous
  • Yam-Pea-Carrot-Coconut Milk
  • Garbanzo-Veggie (Carrot, Spinach, Apple, Onion)
It's a first for the coconut milk and my daughter is loving it, nice and creamy but with the peas and carrots for a bit of texture! Everything but the coconut milk is organic and the couscous is whole wheat. Hope to see you at the market, or send an email if you have questions!

Mama Birds at the Market!

Hello everyone!

Well, the Cache Valley Gardeners Market is officially open for 2009 and we're excited to see you all there! I will be there with a few jars of baby food each Saturday and plenty of order forms for those of you who would like to have a stash for your freezer.
This summer I am sharing a table with my long-time friend and fellow health-nut. We are calling this venture, "Two Mama Birds". We have lots of tasty treats for you and your kiddos and especially for those with food allergies. So far, we're selling whole wheat soft pretzels, whole wheat graham crackers, gluten-free chocolate chip cookies, gluten-free banana muffins and gluten-free fig bars. All delicious and super for little bodies and minds!
As always, if you would like to order anything, please feel free to email anytime! Also, if you or your kids have allergies and you're looking for treats without certain ingredients, please let us know so that we can make you a special batch!
Happy Spring!

Winter Update

Hello out there! It's been quite a while since we've posted any news so now that the holidays are behind us and we're settling back into a somewhat regular routine, it seems like a good time for a quick update. It's slim pickins in the produce world but I still have some frozen organics from last season and can find a few others fresh. The cereals and biscuits are always available, quite nice for chilly winter mornings! Here is a list of the ingredients currently available for frozen jars:
peas, carrots, potatoes, apples, pears, peaches, mango, and hopefully yams, avocado and squash if the orders come through.
Hope that you're all doing well and enjoying the little ones in your lives!
Cheers!

New Non-Crumbly Biscuits!!

Well, after several trials we have a new teething biscuit that lasts and lasts! They're a bit messy but nothing like the commercial ones. The best part is how well these biscuits hold together after lots of slobbery gumming and gnawing! We're calling them, "Durable Teethers", for lack of a more creative name and because that's a great way to describe them. Happy Thanksgiving!!
